Oppo A79 5G is Coming Soon; Here's a Sneak Peek into Features & Certifications
Oppo's gearing up to expand its A-series lineup, with the Oppo A79 5G model soon to debut. Details about the smartphone's features and specs have started appearing on numerous certification websites. Here's what we know so far.
Fresh from the rumor mill, the Oppo A79 5G has strutted across platforms like NBTC, IMDA, FCC, and TUV Rheinland. Adding to the trail is its appearance on the Camera FV5 website. Given that Oppo rolled out the A78 5G earlier this year, all signs point to the A79 5G being its heir apparent.
Notably, the NBTC listing stamped the device with the 'Oppo A79 5G' tag and the CPH2557 model number. TUV Rheinland's nod seems to validate the handset’s juicy 4,880mAh battery (which might round up to 5,000mAh) paired with a zesty 33W fast charging.
The dimensions spill the beans on a latest 5G Oppo mobile measuring 165.61×76.02×7.99mm and tipping the scales at 193 grams. FCC's badge of approval unveils that it will be rocking the Android 13 OS draped in ColorOS 13.1 right from the get-go.
The device doesn't skimp on connectivity. We're looking at 5G, FM Radio, a collection of Wi-Fi bands, navigation systems like GPS and GLONASS, and NFC. The Camera FV5 site hints at a 50-megapixel rear snapper (binning the shots at 12.5-megapixel resolution) with a nifty f/1.8 aperture.
Let’s not forget the 8-megapixel front cam for those selfie sessions. What remains a mystery, for now, are the specifics about the A79’s processor and storage. But, with the excitement building up, expect more scoops from the rumor mill in the coming days.
